Love this! You are awesome. Even though don’t know me personally, I often find your quotes or postings on Facebook are right on point with the my wavelength. You inspire me daily and I truly appreciate the work you do. Keep it up. I don’t know if people tell you this often, but you rock. Thanks for being a joy junkie and spreading light and motivation to the dark spots of my day.

Melodi!! I can’t tell you how much this warmed my heart! I was a very happy little life coach over here! Thank you so much for all your kind words and it means so very much to me that you took the time to let me know. I’m so glad you are getting so much from my messages and know that I’m so grateful to be a part of your journey. So much love, dear friend.

  • Andrea Owen says:

I think I knew all of these things about you, except the toenail thing. o.O

Wow, Goulet… I’m impressed! It doesn’t say “21 Things Even My Best Friend Doesn’t Know”, so… How on earth did you know that I’m dramatic?!!!??!?!?!????

  • Teri says:

beautiful & kickass! Way to shine your brightness xoxox

So awesome – nice to know – I know you so well

You’ve shaved your head?? You are now my new personal HERO. I have this thick-ass wavy hair that everyone tells me they envy, but to me it’s always just been a nuisance. I have been fantasizing about shaving my head since I was little. Maybe I will one day, when the time is right. On the flip side, my whole life I have also been fatasizing about just embracing my thick-ass waves and letting it go wild and free. Hopefully I will also do that one day – when the time is right, lol. …….aaaaand, let me guess, your response to all this is something along the lines of “Well, what the fuck are you waiting for???” ;-) ;-) ;-)

    • Amy Smith says:

LOL!!! How funny!! Yes, I shaved it and it was an incredibly liberating experience…. HOWEVER… I did feel a bit masculine and boyish when I wasn’t all dolled up. And the grow out was a bitch. I’m super glad I did it and I had a blast, but I don’t think I would do it again. When I was all glammed up with makeup and jewelry, I felt fierce and edgy, but when I was in my sweats running to the grocery store, I felt like a lost boy. But, I will say, as someone who also has naturally curly hair, the maintenance was amazing!! Lemme know if you end up doing it!! xo

    • Christina … embrace! embrace! Thick ass waves sound beautiful! I have long, thin hair. My hubby has thick, black and curly hair (on a white boy, no less!) I can’t WAIT to see how our kids hair turns out! :)

  • trace McG says:

i just LOVE that you buzzed hair off!! i wore mine that way for 5 or 6 years in my late forties and into my fifties. been growin’ it out now for oh, 2.5 yrs. or so, but i must say, i do miss the ease of it. in and outta the shower in no time! and i totally agree with you about it being liberating and making you feel fierce. RAWR!

    • Amy says:

Trace! So awesome! When I see my shaved-head hubbs get ready in about 20 minutes, I get so jealous… but I am happy to have my hair. :) I ended up meeting some incredible women who had survived cancer during that time of my life because I had no hair! Even though I did it completely for me, it was cool to have women tell me, “Thank you so much for making this a fashion statement, because losing my hair to chemo was the hardest part of cancer for me.” Ended up being such an incredible experience overall. :)

Amy! I totally remember working with you back in the day. You were such an inspiration to me. I remember you wearing faux freckles one day, and me being in awe of you for doing that. I JUST told my husband that I would be doing fake freckles this Friday for a country themed thing we’re going to! Anyway, I am so happy to see you going this direction in life! This seems totally fitting for you, even though I had only worked with you for about a year. Congrats on your successes! I am totally a fan of yours, again! ;)

    • Amy Smith says:

Hi, Ana! Thank you so much for your kind words and support! I still draw fake freckles every time I do my makeup!! LOL. I was so touched to get your comment, so thank you so much for taking the time to write it! Thank you for hanging out with me in this new chapter of my life! So much love your way!

  • Debbie says:

Hi Amy, after listened to your audio podcast with Dave Wood at “the kick ass life” website I felt strongly about contacting you and giving you a big hug for the work that your doing. We send our children to school for years and don’t understand that the succeeding in the game of life is not about academic knowledge (book smarts) – you obviously have developed a powerful strategy for navigating through the ruff roads of life. Keep up what your doing and I hope to cross paths with you one day. Cheers, Byronious Chingchonious
